Get help and stay safe in a crisis

If you are in crisis, we can help – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Our crisis professionals will speak to you by phone to provide support and help you make a plan to stay safe. Our mobile team of crisis professionals and specially trained plain clothes police officers may also visit you where you are to provide support and make a plan to keep you safe. We may also provide ongoing telephone support and connect you to others who can help. We call this our Crisis Outreach and Support Team (COAST).

COAST is not an emergency response unit. If your situation is a life-threatening emergency, call 911.

COAST is provided in partnership with the Halton Regional Police Service.

Call us anytime at 1-877-825-9011.

If you are in crisis, have mental health and/or addiction concerns, and need safe or emergency shelter, we can help you deal with crises in your life, get treatment and support for mental health and addiction issues, find a place to live, and connect with others who care and can help.

We provide support at the Salvation Army Halton Lighthouse located at 750 Redwood Square in Oakville. We call this Safe Place.

For more information and to ask for help, call Safe Place at 905-849-8443 or COAST at 1-877-825-9011.

There are no fees for these services.
