Mental Health First Aid Adults Who Interact With Youth is a two-day, basic-level interactive course that teaches people with limited or no mental health knowledge how to help youth age 12 to 24 who are showing signs of a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis.
- Signs and symptoms of mental health problems and crisis situations
- A basic model to provide Mental Health First Aid
- Information about how to help in a crisis
- Encouraging a person to identify options for help
The 2-day Mental Health First Aid Adults Who Interact With Youth course discusses substance-related disorders, mood-related disorders, deliberate self-injury, anxiety and trauma-related disorders, eating disorders, and psychotic disorders.
Location: 1540 Cornwall Road, Oakville. Follow the signs for CMHA.
Time: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm each day
Cost: $175 per person, $150 per student/senior

While we do not provide refunds once a payment is made, you may transfer your registration to another course within one year, to a maximum of two attempts at re-registration.
