“Gotta Kick at the Darkness ‘Til it Bleeds Daylight”
Jun 12, 2018
Our blog post last week about Kate Spade’s suicide went up just 2 days before word of another tragedy spread: Anthony Bourdain’s suicide. The same questions about why were uttered with shaking heads as the news sank in. Another person who seemed on the surface to have an exciting, dynamic life was gone, leaving behind loved ones and fans to wonder what he was experiencing inside.
Oakville-based blogger Tanya Kuzmanovic posted on her Pencils and Popcans blog yesterday about two times she lost people she knew to suicide. She hits it right on the head with this:
“All of us touched in some way by suicide – someone we loved or knew well; someone we worked with or went to school with; someone we admired; someone we never even met.”
Thanks for your voice, Tanya.
