Give Peace, Give Hope, Give Support: The Giving Trees Campaign
Nov 19, 2021
Show your support for the mental health of all in our community: take part in the Canadian Mental Health Association Halton Region Branch’s The Giving Trees Campaign.
The Giving Trees Campaign is not only about raising funds and awareness for CMHA Halton’s programs and services, but also raising awareness around mental health and addictions. The focus of the campaign is to give peace of mind to those who don’t know where to turn, give hope for the future, and give support for those living with mental health or addiction concerns.
Three easy ways to get involved as a business, organization, or group:
- Provide a tree (evergreen, hardwood, or creative design). Provide a team to decorate the tree. Select one of three themes, or you can combine two or three: Peace, Hope, Support. And add a tiptap cashless donation device and stand that we will provide.
- Add a tiptap cashless donation device to your holiday display.
- Add a tiptap cashless donation device at your place of business.
CMHA Halton will:
- Provide the tiptap cashless payment device for the duration of the campaign and will retrieve it at the end of the campaign. Organizations are not required to collect or hold funds. The tiptap devices are secure and funds cannot be redirected or used for any purpose other than this campaign.
- Promote your participation on social media, on our webpage, in the media, and/or in public locations.
Businesses, organizations, or groups will need to:
- Ensure a source of electricity for the tiptap cashless payment devices, and location for the device.
- Provide an accessible space for the public to tap the tiptap device for making donations.
- Cross-promote the event using various channels – Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, etc. to display trees using the hashtags #GivingTrees #GiveSupport #GivePeace #GiveHope #MentalHealth #CMHAHalton; website; media, posting in public spaces etc.
- Optional: Create a video and/or provide a message about why the organization is participating and why it is important to raise awareness around mental health and addictions.
