AFFIRM: New CBT group for 2SLGBTQ+ youth and adults

AFFIRM is an eight-session, affirmative group that integrates identity affirmation with cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT). It’s focused on reducing depression and improving coping and sexual self-efficacy for LGBTTIQQ2SA* youth and adults by providing them opportunities to develop identity cognition, mood, and behaviour as well as equipping them with the tools to manage and influence these factors. AFFIRM supports mental and sexual health, enhances coping skills, and validates strengths.
