“We see you, we hear you, and we stand with you.”
Jun 12, 2020
A Statement from our CEO Radhika Subramanyan
I’ve been taking some time to reflect on the recent life-changing events not just in the United States and Canada but across the world. I’m feeling outraged and discouraged but also hopeful that our world can do and be better.
Today and every day, we at CMHA stand in solidarity with the Black community for equality and against racism. Being seen, heard, and respected are key elements for our overall mental health and wellness and creating peace and justice for all.
We at CMHA Halton live and work by our values of Respect, Excellence, Accountability, Collaboration, and Hope, and equity is at the heart of what we strive for. With so much change necessary to ensure that every single person in our communities feels connection and belonging, we are allies.
We see you, we hear you, and we stand with you.
If you are struggling in any way with your mental health, we are here for you. Reach out for Free Call-In Counselling at 289-291-5396, or if you are in crisis, call our Crisis Outreach and Support Team (COAST) 24/7 Crisis Line at 1-877-825-9011.
