Explore an exciting student placement opportunity within one of the many programs offered at CMHA Halton. We offer student placements in our Crisis Services, Case Management, Justice, Walk In/Call In Counselling, Information Technology teams and many more!
Our student placement programs provide students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working in the mental health sector while utilizing student’s theoretical knowledge from their formal education.
PLACEMENT REQUIREMENTS
• Current Vulnerable Sector Check
• Valid CPR / First Aid Certification
• Have some experience providing support & assistance to members of the general public
• Comfortable working with individuals with diverse and intersecting identities, able to create inclusive and safe space for clients
• Must be actively enrolled in a program for which a placement is required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
