We’ve been Accredited with Exemplary Standing

It’s official: For the second time, we have been Accredited With Exemplary Standing by Accreditation Canada, the highest award they give.

Accreditation involves the evaluation of CMHA Halton programs, services, policies, and processes against national standards of excellence, including accreditation surveyors meeting with our staff, community partners, clients and caregivers, and Board of Directors. They recognized us for a number of achievements, including:

• Our drive to be innovative and flexible in addressing current and anticipated gaps in service and to continuously improve and evolve to meet our community’s changing needs
• Being a local leader and collaborative partner to promote accessible care
• Our staff’s passion for our work and values, commitment to making a difference in the lives of our clients, and creativity in providing the right support to reduce barriers
• Saying “yes” when others say “no”

We are proud of our commitment to quality, safety, and providing excellent care, and “exemplary” means that we are doing our very best to promote wellness. For everyone on our team, earning accreditation at this level isn’t a finish line: it’s a bar that we continue to pursue every day for our clients, their families, and the Halton.
